Can someone briefly explain the difference between a TR3A and 1962 TR3B. I'm not familiar with the B
thanks, bert

What Jeff said, and at some point the all-synchro transmission was introduced as well.

The TR3B was a nod to the traditionalists who wanted to keep the side curtain model around when the more modern TR4 was introduced.

I also understand the the TR3B was only sold in North America.

The story I've heard is that American enthusiasts still had a hankering for the old TR3 styling even after the TR4 was introduced so there was a small run of these TR3B's built for North American consumption only.

I also heard the dealers were hedging their bets that the public wouldn't like the new TR-4.
