TR2/3/3A TR3A Type A OD Gearbox - what's it worth?

Hello All

I purchased a TR3A "rolling chassis" some time ago. Frame, engine, gearbox, diff, suspension. I need to part this out and quit paying storage - wife says that this monthly tax needs to stop. Have long block engine, A Type OD gearbox, etc. Location is in Sacramento, CA. First, does anybody need any parts from this? (selling, but I'll be fair)

Second, the gem is the A-type OD (unknown condition). What is that worth? I'd run it but I got a wild hair and purchased HVDA's Toyota 5-speed conversion so have no use for this gearbox.

Watching eBay, for the last couple of years, I've seen rebuilt ones go from about $1800 - $2200. "Used" ones that "look good" get $800 - over $1000.

TR3, non-synchro first, boxes tend towards the lower reaches of those ranges, but not always.
 
The Overdrive, if it just needs a complete overhaul and is rebuildable, is worth a minimum $500.
 
Short note. I sold an A Type (just the overdrive/no tranny) to a fellow local club member for 600 bucks. It was in unknown condition.

Before I bought my LO car, I "reserved" a used A type from a TR6 for $795.00 from Flying Circus. I assumed it would need a rebuild -I contacted Quantum Mechanics and spoke to them - so all in, it was going to be the better part of $1800.00 by the time it would be ready to drop in the car - and of course the frame would need some slight mods to maker the 6 box fit..

In the end when I went the other route, the seller happily took it back and resold it the next day at the $795.00.
 
Thanks for all the feedback. Given all the feedback, I'm guessing the gearbox w OD is probably worth about $800. Much appreciated!
