TR2/3/3A TR3A Throttle shaft bushing retainer plates, Correct color?

I am starting the re-assembly of my TR3A and cannot find any information on the color of the throttle shaft bearing retainer plates. They look like they may have been plated, but I cannot be sure. They certainly do not look like body color. Does anyone know for sure?

This is from the TRA TR4/4A judging guidelines, so may not apply tot he TR3A:

The brackets holding the nylon bushes should be cad plated or natural steel
