I'm troubleshooting a front-end (not steering column) vibration. There's no "slop" in the steering; grasping tire at 9/3 or 12/6 shows no play.

Here's what I see at the right front wheel:

Similar on the left front wheel.

Any comments? What would you do next?

Thanks.

Bent wheel? Wheel bearings good?

I'm having similar problems with my TR3. So far, I've found that one hub had more runout than it should, due to a burr that was apparently turned up when the bearings were installed, and that the new brake rotors were badly out of balance.

My next step is going to be to spin the wheels up to road speed on the car and see what happens. Then I'll try spinning just the hubs up to speed, maybe I haven't got them balanced good enough.

Wheel balance problem?
