Hello all! I need to spruce up my stone guards in preparation for TRA 2022. Any suggestions regarding the best way to remove oxidation and minor pits. I would prefer not removing the guards.

Cheers, Frank

I went to the hardware store.... purchased some 2000 steel wool.
Did a nice job to freshen things up. Still.... not new... not chrome.
Good luck with your project

Fine wire wool That’s what I use to clean then up but keep the rubbing in one direction suggest just up and down. Ie not circular

if you have a polishing cloth wheel for a drill this can be useful with a fine paint cutting polish. A finesse type or we have a crude old fashioned product called T cut that is still effective.

or go the whole hog and get an ali polishing kit with differing grades of waxes. Check out the motorcycle guys for this stuff. They can get a mirror shine on crankcases.
