Wanted TR3A Rheostat panel light switch

Will one from the TR4/6 work? They have different Lucas PNs but is it due to physical or electrical differences, and how much difference does it make? Jeff

The TR4/6 switch will not work. The 3 has a smaller size opening in the panel. Since I have several on/off switches I'll probably go with one of them. Didn't want to cut the tabs off the wiring harness but that would be all it would take. With the rheostat switch all you do it set it at maximum brightness and never touch it again so on/off would work fine. Just trying to stay original but not really necessary.
