TR2/3/3A TR3A Rear Wheel Cyl Assembly Question

I'm confused about how the dust boot (the one on the bleeder/hand brake lever side of the brake plate) fits on.
Does it fit under the flat shims that hold the cylinder, or just goes around them?
Thanks!
John

Thanks Sail,
I think my confusion is from looking at the diagram in Bentley that goes with the text. It looks kind of like the rubber piece goes in first. on the other hand it also looks like one of the metal pieces is reversed from the text.
Anyway, I'll follow the text.

Just around them. They fit very tightly to the back plate, no room for any rubber in that joint.

Dooh! [Fist to Head]

I just put the wheel cylinder assembly back together as per the instructions and it all fits nicely. When I last did this years ago I probably just glanced at the drawing and dove in.

The rubber will fit under the plates if you also forget the distance piece.

Lesson learned: read the instructions and follow this board!

Thanks everyone,
John
