TR2/3/3A TR3A rear shelf carpet

Well, I’m down to the last few interior items and am working on the rear shelf carpeting on my 59 TR3A with a sloped rear shelf. I’m struggling a little figuring out how to attach the carpet pieces from the kit to the radiused vertical walls of the rear bench.
- Is the bottom edge of the carpet aligned flush to the floor and the top edge wrapped and glued around the top or is it wrapped top and bottom?
- Does it extend all the way into the corner of the wheel arch and B post pillar or does it stop short?

Any other pointers for installing these pieces are appreciated.

Hi Ron, here are some photos of how I fitted my carpet, it was so long ago I can't remember how it was fastened but I think I used some trim screws and stud fasteners

for some of it.

Hi Graham,
Thanks for the images- very helpful. You did a beautiful job installing your interior and it looks very neat. Upon closer examination, it looks like your rear shelf pieces are different than mine. The one piece strip that that you used which cover the rear shelf vertical surfaces makes for a much cleaner looking installation than my small carpet pieces that came with my kit from Rimmer.

I'm going to see how I do just gluing these pieces in and take it from there.

Thanks for your response and images!
Ron

Great Job Ron, I remember doing the wheel arch and the trouble I had with it. Yours looks perfect and better than mine! Did you glue the vinyl right to the wheel arch! Is the carpet wool and where did you get the kit?
