TR2/3/3A TR3A Mystery Frame Tab

I have a tab on the frame in my engine compartment that I can't identify. I suspect it may have been used to mount the fuel shut off valve, but I'm not sure that was fitted originally on my car.

Here's a pic:

Anyone know what this is for?

Do you have two tabs like that or only one? if there are two one is for the Clutch line and the second tab that is further forward is for the fuel shut-off. If you only have one tab then it is for the clutch pipes and you car didn't have the fuel shut-off. The fuel shut-off was discontinued on later cars like mine. I only have one tab on my frame.

The fuel shut off tab is "U" shaped to allow it to slide in. The base of the shut off is notched so it will not turn in the attachment tab. I think Don posted a photo recently in another post regarding the fuel shut off.
