TR2/3/3A TR3A Movie Sighting

My wife and I watched ‘Crooked House’ tonight. An Agatha Christie mystery from 2017. In it, Glenn Close drives a very nice white TR3A. You don’t get to see the front until late so it was a good time trying to decide between it being a TR2 or TR3. The detective also drives a beautiful Bristol 405 — so exclusive that I’ve never seen one in a movie before. Not sure why the ultra-rich Glenn Close character is driving a (relatively) cheap TR when she should be driving at least an E-type.

Because to the untrained eye, a tr3 is the more enjoyable and dangerous car for the movies. In today’s world anyone who drives an older fifties British sports even in the eyes of a techy type mechanic either has an older personal mechanic who they keep on staff or is a force of nature. I would like an E type to play with.

Yep...2 cars are on my final restoration list. E type at the top, followed by '67 Camaro conv. The Camaro was my first "real" car that got away, and the E has to be the best looking car ever built.
