TR2/3/3A TR3A fuel line

Folks,

I have a fuel leak where the old fuel line attaches to my new Roadster Factory fuel tank. The existing fuel line has been cut off rear of where the original union would have occured. A rubber fuel hose connects to the rear fuel line and extendds to the steel fuel line coming from the fuel pump. I plan on getting a fuel line from a local parts store and connecting back to the existing rubber line. Is ther a need for the steel fuel line to have the 180 degree bend that forms sort of a P-trap?

Thanks.
Ron

I don't have my car in the garage right know so I can't take a look, but I think it was bent like that to go around the axle. No need for any sort of P Trap.

I just installed mine last week. It comes out of the tank and makes that fairly gentle bend to go back to a clip on the body tub. The clip attaches to a stud that is welded on the body. The "U" shape is needed to get the line to the clip without too severe of a bend. The clip is to take any stress off the union to the tank. I would do it as they originally did.

Mine clears the axle without any problems.

Good luck,

John
