TR2/3/3A TR3A front suspension problem

I bought the Moss front suspension rebuild kit 660-988 for my 1961 TR3A and have installed all the new pieces. My problem is that the lower spring support pan will not fit the studs in the back nor the bolt holes in the front of the lower wishbones. I've tightened down all the frame plate mounting bolts and frame end of the bolts holding the wishbones, and have tightened down the bolts on each end of the trunion, but it ends up that the back stud and front holes in the wishbones are about 1/16 of an inch too wide to fit the holes in the spring support pan. It's almost as if the bushings are too long and won't let the wishbones go together enough. Has anyone experienced this problem and have a recommendation on how to resolve the problem? Thanks!
Regards,
Bob
