TR2/3/3A TR3A door "draft seal"

I searched the forum back 6 years for "draft seal" (per Moss catalog), "door seal", "door gasket", etc. but can't find any posts on this.

The original rubber seals mounted to the body at the front edge of the doors had turned crispy. I ordered the replacement "draft seal" material from Moss (249-760). Turns out I should have ordered the "sealing rubber" instead.

What arrived is a fuzzy fabric "tube" with a fabric lip along the side. I can't figure out where that goes - or how it mounts.

Has anyone replaced that fabric seal?

Thanks.
Tom

You have the fuzzy seals that go along the body where the front edge of the door meets the body and where the rear edge of the door does likewise. The cloth edge goes between the kickpad and the edge of the body at the front of the door and the vinyl interior panel in front of the wheel well and behind the rear of the door opening. It is held in place by the screws that fasten the kickpad and vinyl interior panel in place. The fuzzy part is the sealbetween the door and the body.
At least on my TR3, both the front and rear fuzzy seals frequntly come loose perhaps glueing them to the panels would help.

Gary - that is excellent! Thanks! As there's no other TR3 within walking distance, and mine isn't quite roadworthy yet, I've been wondering what the heck that seal was for.

So often I feel "lost" with questions about things that seem to be missing, or things that seem not quite right.

Say - if the draft seals are held in place by the interior door panel screws, wouldn't that keep them from coming loose?

Thanks.
Tom

Mine fell out at the front top. No screws there, I guess.
