Hello, listers, just a quick check...are there any aluminum bits in the TR3 cooling sysyem? The reason I ask is I have a bottle of Permatex radiator/cooling system cleaner, and it warns against using it w/ aluminum components...Thanks!

Well the thermostat head is certainly non-ferrous and likely at least partially aluminum. There is also an aluminum plug in the top of the head but I cannot recall if that is against the cooling jacket.

I realize they are probably concerned mostly about aluminum heads but if it were me I would use something friendlier.
 
Yes, Geo is right, the thermostat goosneck is aluminum.
