I'm interested in installing a vent in the bottom part of the apron below the grille on my TR3 similar to what is seen on TR3 racers. Does anyone know of a source for these?

I'm not familiar with any "vent" on the bottom part of the front shroud or "apon" on a TR3 racer. Tim Suddard, editor of Classic Motorsports races a TR3 and he has an oil cooler mounted below his grill.

I should have mentioned that I was referring to the later TR3's that have the wider grill. On those cars the lower part of the apron blocks about 1/3 of the air flow to the rad so a vent is often added there.

Not really necessary for cooling - the intake size is normally a fraction of the core area and functions just fine. Important to ensure good shrouding to the radiator, though.

Does it really help - maybe. But I live in a very hot place where 'maybe' is a good enough reason to try something that may help the engine keep its cool.
