TR2/3/3A TR3 with option on a Peerless on eBay

Peerless and Warwicks are great looking cars. The added weight means less performance than a TR. Of course, they are well-trimmed and quite rare. Show up in one of those and you'll get lots of looks and questions.

I've always grouped the Peerless/Warwick with cars like Gordon-Keeble, Iso, Facel Vega, and DeTomaso -- cars that borrowed parts to build beautiful low-production GT cars.

Spot on Andrew.

John Gordon owned Peerless Motors, and hence the convenient name.

Around 1960 the Peerless venture folded, and one partner, Bernie Rodger, went on with the Warwick variant, which didn't last long either. John Gordon then met another garage owner, Jim Keeble, who had dropped a Corvette engine in a Peerless for a customer. Gordon immediately saw the potential of a car with more grunt, and thus the Gordon-Keeble concept was born. Together they produced a stunning car in the mould of the Jensen and Aston Martin.

The worry with the Peerless was that the fuel tanks were in side panniers beneath the doors. Not such a good idea if tee boned !.
