Hi all -- Getting parts together to send to a chrome shop and removed the stantions from my TR3 windshield frame. Is there any trick as to how the the chrome frame seperates from the windshield glass? Thanks!

Been a long time, but I believe you remove all of the corner screws and then pull the frame away.
The biggest trick is putting it all back together. Don't throw away your old side stanchion screws. The ones that are sold new need to be compared to the originals. They used to be too long and would break the glass.
The cloth that was originally used to seal between the glass and the frame was very similar to friction tape. What is sold now, or when I did my frame was a thin rubber. It was too thick to work with for me as I was dealing with a frame that the DPO had installed a piece of flat glass. I had to rebend the frame and ended up using the original fabric.
Good luck!

Flip the window upside down. then in the channel that holds the lower gasket you'll see tiny screws in the corners. with luck, they're not complete blobs of rust anf you'll be able to remove them. I'm siting here thinking that there are screws on the sides too. anyway, that will release the lower channel from the glass, then you gently pull the sides out a bit and the upper piece should come loose from the glass.
It's just a compression fit with the "gasket" keeping the glass snug. it should not be glued with anything very strong. (except age)
