TR2/3/3A TR3 Trunk Floor

I've got a TR3 I'm restoring using a body that is not original to the car. The body is in generally very good shape. I had to replace the driver's floor pan, which I was able to do as original. But I also have to replace the trunk floor, as it's apparent that the car leaked in the trunk and rotted out pretty bad from the inside. I have a new floor panel, but looking over the way the floor is welded in, it doesn't look like I will be able to replace it exactly as original without removing some other panels.

Has anyone done this job before, and if so, are there any relatively easy ways to get this into it's original position, or am I going to have to just cut out what I can and more or less "overlay" the new piece.
