TR4/4A TR3 / TR4 heater question

Have a 1959 TR3 and the guy has installed a TR4 engine.

My question is when I tried to install the line that runs from the water pump housing (long tube shaped like a "L") the hole was smaller than the TR3.

What type of pipe or plumbing is installed into the TR4? Any pics would be great.
Thanks

Larry, the water pump housing is the same ... sounds like you are missing the adapter for that line. Has pipe threads into the pump housing; and a reverse compression fitting for the line that runs along the engine. Sorry, don't recall the pipe thread size offhand, but it's smaller than 1/2" (which is the tubing size).

One alternative (not necessarily the best) is to find a pipe thread to hose barb adapter (at Home Depot, etc.) and just run 1/2" heater hose from there all the way to the firewall.

Thanks Randall... After you mention it I am missing the adapter. My car is in storage so I couldn't reference it,
Sorry for the dumb question...
Love this sight.
