TR4/4A TR3 TR4 exhaust hanger question

I was thinking of using the TR4 style front exhaust hanger for my TR3. I've heard it is a better style than the original. 1st pictures shows the parts that I have. One is a bit longer than the other. I think the shorter one is the better fit. The second picture shows where I think the bracket goes under the trans mount. Let me know if what I'm thinking is correct.

Does the bracket go under the mount? Looks like you would just remove the nut on the bottom and use the bracket.

Keith-

The shorter one is TR4, the longer one TR4A (possibly TR6 also?). Yes, it goes below, the nut basically holds the trans bolt and you won't need that spare nut anymore.

I have always thought that the TR3 version was easier to work with as I can get to everything to loosen, tighten & remove working under the car.

Maybe it is just my on my '4 but when it is all buttoned up I don't think I can do much with that strap and mount w/o pulling the tunnel and getting at it from above.

Thanks Randy and Geo. Never thought the about working on the car later. Something to think about.
