Shopping for TR3 top.Can anyone give an opinion or comparison of TRF Robbins material top ,compared to Moss's "british vinyl"top.
Thanks
Tom

Tom -

Not sure of the difference, but I will say that the Everflex top from TRF that I used for the TR3 I had was great.

Aloha,

A few years ago I got a Robbins tonneau cover for my TR3 from TRF. I was pleased with the quality of the piece, its fit and it was made of good vinyl material. I use it almost exclusively on my car, rarely using the top.

If you go to the robbins site, on the topping they one that they list is "British Everflex Vinyl". I suspect that you could contact them and see what material they use to make their TR3 tops.

Here is their website:

Who knows, maybe they are the supplier to Moss of either the tops or the material.

Mickey and Dave,Thanks for replies.
I it looks like Robbins standard vinly is what TRF calls "Robbins material"
Maybe I will hold off to upgrade for Everflex or Sunfast, which I guess is probably same as Sunbrella, which I am familiar with from boats.
Thanks
Tom

When I was looking for a top for my 4A I was looking for black Everflex or vinyl with a tan cloth liner. VB advertised it that way and confirmed by phone however when it arrived it was a black liner. Moss tops were black on black in the vinyl options. I ended up with a black Everflex with a gray cloth liner from TRF. Just an FYI, I imagine the 3 tops vary.
