TR2/3/3A TR3 tires for wires

Hey Guys

Will 165R-15 tires fit on 48 spoke wires? I'm selling my tires to someone for their wire wheels. They are currently running skinny 20+ year old bias ply tires. They'll also need to buy tubes, right?

Thanks

Pat

Yup, they will fit on the wheels. Whether they fit in the spare tire compartment is a different question.

Unless they have "tubeless" wires from Dayton, they will need tubes. I wouldn't trust a 20 year old tube, but they are probably safer than 20 year old tires so ...

<span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="color: #003300">Be sure to tell your buyer to check the inside walls of his tires for any stickers put there by the manufacturer (or anyone else) Completely remove them AND any adhesive residue. No problem with a tubeless application but the tubes will chafe against the stickers and believe it or not will wear a hole in the tube.
