TR2/3/3A TR3 Temperature Gauge...cost to repair?

I had some esperience with MoMa that was not acceptable. I sent them a temp gauge to repair and got back a brand new unit that I could have ordered from MOSS, and it cost more than MOSS. I also had them work on a tachometer twice and it still has problems.
Your other two have good reputations. I have also used Palo Alto Speedometer with good results.

Wow,

I had the opposite experience with Mo-Ma.
They did an excellent job on my Jaeger speedo. Replaced a lot of damaged & missing parts, rebuilt & re caliberated the speedo for $150.

Apparently, Joey is an expert on Triumph temp gauges, & will rebuild if feasible.

Contact them by phone only , no internet; they are always happy to discuss concerns you have.

I can vouch for West Valley. $140 to repair temp gauge. Nice to talk to, easy to deal with, unlike my experience with MO-MA. West Valley will refurbish it to the level you want: functioning but no appearance improvement; functioning with clean appearance; fully restored and pristine in appearance. I asked for the middle route. I didn't need "perfect".

My experience wasn't the best either.
West valley did a great job for me though

I don't know if your interested but there is a guy on Ebay who makes clones of these temp gauges. They are very very similiar to the original and cost half as much. I was in the position to have my temp gauge repaired but didn't want to have to to spend 130.00 plus. I found this guy on Ebay and his was 75.00 with shipping. It looks great and has functioned perfectly for me. It might be an option.

There are often used temp gauges on ebay. I probably have some in a box somewhere. Try ebay. If you don't find one send me a note and I'll see what I have.

X2 for West Valley Instruments. Very easy to deal with and fair. I seem to recall my repair was $130, this included a new capillary fitting since I had to cut capillary tube off the t-stat housing (fitting was rusted solid).
