We are looking for a temp gauge for the TR3. The only ones we have found
so far someone has cut the tube off of. Am I correct in thinking that if we
found a good temp gauge...that when we send it in for repair that a new
tube can be put on? Thanks for the feedback. Gil NoCal

The TR2,3.3A,3B temp gauge is a single piece unit consisting of a sending bulb, capillary tube and a gauge, charged (filled) with ether. The rebuilding firms that I know of will supply the bulb and tube as part of the rebuild.

Or you could at least try to repair it yourself. It is possible. I have fixed about 1/2 dozen using the method described in the link below.

One thing I do differently than the link is that I use dry ice instead of the salt/ice bath to chill the expansion bulb during the repair process.
