TR2/3/3A tr3 side curtains

Please explain the issue as to why you can not close the door. Such as the door is now to heavy to fit into the opening or the rear latch does not engage or maybe the rear latch engages but the door does not latch closed.

The usual reason is that the leading edge fouls on the windscreen pillar. Some adjustment is needed to get curtains to fit a specific car, often including some nervous work bending the frame a tiny bit.

Ideally that lip on the leading edge of the curtain tucks into the groove in the stanchion as the door closes.

What is the story on the side curtains? New to the car or recovered?

Before I had mine recovered I spent some time making sure the frame lined up with the the windscreen stanchion and aligned with the hood. When they came back it still tool a lot of fiddling with the position of the mounting brackets to get a good fit and nice door closing.

I have a similar issue on the passenger side. Part of the problem is the side-curtain hits at the B post where the top comes in contact with the side curtain. The soft top prevents the curtain from coming in maybe ½ inch. Try shutting the door with the top off or the top out of the way but the side curtain still on -- you can just undo a couple of snaps and see where it is hitting.
