TR2/3/3A Tr3 Seat Belts

Hello All,

I am nearing the end of getting my 61 Tr3 back on the road after 20+ years. The previous owner had the seat belts attached to the heel board, aka the vertical panel directly behind the seat. My question is for those of you owners that have installed belts at this location on post 60K cars. What is the correct length for the lap belt? the seat will be about halfway forward.
Thank You!

If you have all the hardware, lots of online places sell the belt material.
Use a piece of string to estimate what length you need. Buy 15% more of your
favorite color, mark it off for length, take it to your local auto upholsterer &
have it stitched up.

I haven't tried that but I would be surprised if a reputable upholsterer would do a seat belt due to the perceived liability.

The long belts offered by moss should do it. There should be holes in the rear corners of the floor pans, nuts prewelded to the underside, for fastening the ends. I went three point with mine, anchoring the center slide of the longer belt to the top of the wheel wells. In my case the standard length was too short so I had to extend the belts with 1/4 inch chain and threaded add a links. Bob
