TR2/3/3A TR3 Scuttle Vent knob removal?

I'm recovering all my cockpit cappings and I have all the studs off the front capping.

I can't find a hole on the vent knob to release it from the rod and it doesn't look like it screws on.

What am I missing to get this off so I can pull the capping?

Look again, there is a hole. It's pretty far back so you will need to pull the vent open to see it.
