TR2/3/3A TR3 - Lower Fulcrum thread size

Restoring a '56 TR3. The threads on the lower fulcrum(s) are a little rough. Bought a 7/16-20 rethreading die and it seems to be too small.

Anyone know offhand what the threads are?

TIA
Jeff

If you are doing a restoration, you should probably learn one of the tricks. Most (not all) of the nuts & bolts have a "standard hardware" part number consisting of two letters and 4 digits. You can look these up in the factory "Spare Parts Catalogue". Reprints are available, or
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B2H2NJt34OffMWQ4N2EzZGQtNjc0Ny00YmE2LWFiN2UtZWYzMjNjNGFiYzY4

Then look up the number in the Standard hardware catalog:
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B2H2NJt34OffMjJhY2YwZmQtYzgxNC00ZTk0LTk1YTUtZTIyZmU3ZTc1Y2M4

(Sorry the scans leave a lot to be desired, I'm slowly improving them. But they are usually legible if you zoom in far enough.)

For example, the nut for the lower fulcrum pins is TN.3210, which the hardware catalog reveals as a 7/16" UNF thin nyloc nut. (Which of course means that Shawn was entirely correct.)

Thanks Randall. I had the hardware catalog, but not the spare parts catalog.

Documentation for the TR3 sure is good compared to my previous restoration (Alfa Duetto).
