Ok, on a basket case I purchased I have a TS 433xx engine on a TS 428xx car. I just noticed today that I have a low port cylinder head with a high port intake. How much trouble am I in here, what are the consequences of not switching heads. I am trying to build this car to concourse quality.

Yup, intake manifolds won't match up. The head studs are different, too.

And the difference is pretty obvious, so the odds of a judge spotting the discrepancy are high. I forget the change point offhand (some time during 1956), but you are way beyond it.

I was only 18 when I got my TR3 but it turns out to have had a low port head and I drove it for years and had the head rebuild before I realized it was the wrong ported head. The gaskets did not fit and that was how I found out. I think the manifold was just ground down to make it work. But my advice is to get the proper head. I will do that once I get some time and find a head.

I suspect that once word gets out, there are at least a few "originality" types who would be happy to get hold of a good low-port head!
If so, I've got a "Le Mans" style head available, correct for TS9350E through about TS12606E. Needs to be rebuilt, the valve guides are badly worn, but was "running when removed". I forget the engine number it came off of, but I can check if it makes a difference. The short block is in the shed with a high port head on it.
