TR2/3/3A TR3 Locking Pawl

I got to the door and boot locks today. The lock cylinders are all freed up and working smoothly, but it turns out someone removed the locking pawls from all three locks. Bummer!

I ground one from a bar of brass. It works but looks pretty nasty. Does anyone have a line on who still carries an old part like this? They are the small bar located perpendicularly inside the handle barrel, that the lock cylinder pushes into and out of the handle casing. When it's out, it catches in a slot in the case to lock the handle in place. Of course, when it's in, the handle turns freely.

Sorry, I'd take a picture...but I don't have a part to photo!

Thanks,

John

John,
I would have to see it....I do that stuff for work. I probably have parts that would work. I think you are talking about the part that extends when the key is turned to lock the handle but....I have not had one of the handles apart yet>

If you want to ship it to me send me a PM and I can get them up and running for you!

Thanks for the offer! I've got the boot handle all back together with the homemade pawl. When I get to the doors I'll send you a pic to see if you can help. I need to look over the glove box lock too to see how much attention it will take.

So are you a locksmith?

John
