TR2/3/3A TR3 Lift the Dot Studs - 2 styles?

I don't recall which location is which, off hand; and it varies with commission number. But 226-708 has machine screw threads, and so is used where ever there is a nut on the inside or where there are captive nuts (like along the rear rail).

226-408 has wood threads, and so is used where it screws into wood threads or directly into the sheet metal. Which ISTR on your car would be the doors and the front rail.

This might help:

The # 226-408 is used on the doors of the TR2-TR3. The #226-708 is also used on the door skins except they are for TR3's. TS60001 to TR3B. They are also used on the body. See page 106 in the Moss TR2-4A Parts book.

FWIW -- I have found both styles at my local Ace Hardware in the area with nuts & bolts in little cardboard drawers.

Not sure about pricing, but I saw that Roadster Factory has full kits of these on sale right now.
