TR2/3/3A TR3 Ignition Lock Cylinder

I'm changing the lock cylinder in the ignition switch on the TR3. I got the old one out by turning the key to on and poking the plunger down through the access hole.

So, what's the secret to getting the new cylinder back in. It goes as far as the plunger and hits a dead end. I can't get it in far enough to engage the hole for the plunger. I don't want to force it.

Edit: OK, I looked carefully inside the switch reccess itself figuring there should be some sort of chamfer to guide the pin plunger of the lock cylinder down. I poked around, but came up empty. I decided to chamfer the leading edge of the pin on the cylinder a little. BINGO, it slid in.

Time for a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thirsty.gif
