My idler arm felt loose so I took it apart. Not sure how tight it has to be.Pin measures .743,but doesnt look bad.I saw TRF has complete matched ass.,but was wondering if replaceing just bracket/bushing is more common.Pin also has two flats ground parellel to arm the full length of pin,I guess for grease distrubution?or PO modified.
Also what is the proper way to set lower shock bolt lock T lock washer, and do they face front or back?
Thanks
Tom

Tom, the steering idler arm is often overlooked when greasing the car, so the theads it swings back and forth on become worn. Replacing just the idler lever isn't ideal. Steering would be better with a new matched idler and housing.

Looking at the lock washer on the shocker through bolt, it goes in like a "T" - tab facing down.

Regards,

Viv.

Thanks Viv.I just bought a new idler arm assembly on Ebay, old European manufacture, supposedly better than some more recent reproductions.
I thought the T went down, just seemed like it could have been a little longer for good fold over.
Thanks,
Tom
