Hey guys,
I had a good day a got a bunch of stuff done on the car, including putting my winter thermostat in. Part of the reason I did so was because my heater core wasn't warming up much, so I thought a hotter thermostat would solve that. As usual, I was wrong. I discovered that the hot fluid doesn't seem to be circulating from the passenger side hose through the core and then out again. I'm thinking that it may be an air bubble caught in the core which is impeding the flow, if that's possible. The core has worked in the past, and i recently installed a new heater control valve on the block, which i've verified is open. I can feel hot fluid from the valve up to the firewall and then from the passenger side hose to the heater core, but then nothing.
Any ideas on what I could do to "bleed" the heater core w/o removing my carpet and/or hoses from the interior?
thanks!
Gavin
