Tr3 headlight buckets. I was looking to switch out a pigtail for the headlight buckets and was wondering about a good way to get the old one out in one piece. I removed some once, but not so easy now. I do see they sell new ones, but I am not sure on the quality.

Plus, I would like to repair one of those brass caged barrel nuts that hold the adjusting spring if anyone has a good idea; they look crimped in and not moveable. Or perhaps purchase a whole new set up if the quality is not too bad.

The wiring harness is just a rubber plug that pops in or out. Of course if it is old there may not be much flex to the rubber anymore. I'm trying to remember the crimped nuts. It seems like I was able to pry the crimps to remove them and then crimp them back...but that's been 3 years, so my memory fails. I just looked through my pictures without luck.

yeh that rubber has gotten supper stiff. I did get one out but my hands are not as strong as they used to be, I might need to cut the other. John did you buy new or use the old, and if so did you take the plug end apart for cleaning.
