TR2/3/3A TR3 gauge position question

I have been trying to find the correct position of the four gauges in the centre of the TR3 dash. The Bentley manual and the Haynes manual have different layouts. I don't know if it was different for the RHD then for the LHD versions. Does anyone know what the correct layout is for the LHD drive North American cars as they left the factory?

According to TRA's Concours guide: (left hand drive)
Looking at the dash -
Top left is oil pressure
Bottom left is temperature
Top right is fuel
Bottom right is ammeter
Igition or charging light is left
Turn indicator light (green late) / (amber early)is right
Switches top to bottom is: wiper - dash light - headlights

The gauge layout is the same as your 4A

Lou -- won't this differ if it is an earlier TR3A without a panel lights rheostat?

Geo:

Yep - early cars without the panel light rheostat will have the panel light switch on top. The guide says that the rheostat was introduced at the 1960 model year / the TS60000 mark.

Was the switch to green indicator lights a post 60000 thing? Mine is a late '59 3A and I have amber - wouldn't be the first thing that was incorrect on this car..
thanks,

Kerry,

TS54794LO - Has amber lens. Not a very good pic but maybe if you save and enlarge it.

The cereal box cardboard is to protect the scuttle whilst I had the bonnet hyperextended to pull the head. The extra posts on the scuttle are for the Brooklands aeroscreen I sometimes use.
