What was the purpose of the earlier TR3 unscrewable gas filler cap. I think it was for the purpose of fitting racing filler caps, but can't be sure.
I drive a 62 3B with a fixed filler cap, but am thinking of replacing with a screwable one that I have. Both need rechroming. Do I rechrome the whole unit, or is there a way to remove the hinged, spring loaded top, without problems getting it back together.
