First TR3 was a 61...back in college in the late 60's,,,drove that car 1/2 way across the country several times.....lots of cars inbetween then and now....a few years ago I came full circle and bought this 61 baby from a friend....have been enjoying this board as a lurker here for sometime and thought it time to join....

Wellcome, great looking 3. Great to relive a car from the past isn't it. I've a 56 TR3 and it's a hoot.
I had an Austin Healey 100-6 in the late sixties and the way prices have dropped lately I may have another one...

Welcome aboard! Beautiful 3. Looks like a red interior, too. The right color combination in my mind in my mind. Have fun!

Welcome Reelmaker! Good to have another New Englander on the forum.

There's another TR3B owner here - Brooklands, out in Pennsylvania. He'll pop in to say hello soon.

How'd you find your car? Any surprises? There are usually a few.

Welcome Reelmaker! Good to see another Boomer enjoying the sport.

Heck, another boomer won Westminster, yet!

Enjoyed my TR2 and TR3 back in the day. Now I zoom around in a more modern car....a TR6.

The first car I ever owned was a 1958 TR3A. It was my first car. I was 20 years old. It was brand new. I paid cash for it from the money I had saved working in the shop and in Tool Design at Pratt & Whitney from age 17 to 20. That was 51 years ago. I drove it 80,250 miles for 14 years from new, then it sat as a basket case in my garage from 1972 to 1987 when I started a 3-year full body-off restoration. Since 1990, I've driven it a bit more than 100,000 miles. Life is great ! It was my first car and it still is.

But I don't go fishing.

Welcome, and beautiful car - always room for one more sidescreener to drive those 'modern TR' guys crazy!

Full circle, or fool circle? Some of us never learn.
That's what makes life fun.

Great looking car. Welcome to the place that will help you keep it running.

The really great thing about a LBC (especially tr3's) is that when your're behind the wheel, you are that kid again, you can feel the magic...that you felt that day you bought #1.Sure it needed a lot of work, but youth and optimism put a grin on your face nothing could change. Smiles per gallon!!!
