TR2/3/3A TR3 Fuel Gauge Sending Unit

I ordered a sending unit for my fuel gauge from Moss and when I went to change it tonight I noticed the one on the car had two wires running to it and the new one only had a place for one.

Has anyone changed one out?? Should I call them to verify the right part?? Are they good to work with??

Thanks

Hey Roy,
Moss is good to work with, no problem. They are usually pretty knowledgeable about what they sell. Call them...

Re: TR3 Fuel Gauge Sending Unit - Update

I talked with Moss today and the tech support was great.. We resolved the two wire issue and tracked it down to the gauge as it read the same with both sending units. I'm sending the gauge and sending unit off to Mid Valley Instruments to have the gauge rebuile and sending unit calibrated to the gauge.

So why the extra wire you may ask. Seems the PO put rubber insulators on the tank preventing it from being a ground. He wired a ground from the frame..

Thanks for the input...
