TR2/3/3A TR3 Frame Dimensions

Does anyone have a sheet or a link to a website showing the TR3 frame dimensions? Dimensions are not in my parts or shop manual. Thanks in advance,

Luke,

I'd recommend getting one of the factory manual reprints which has the frame dimensions in it. Amazon has them for $40.57 (cheaper than what I've seen on eBay).

I've got the manual your link goes to - page 290 shows the frame but there are no dimensions.....

Luke,

Hmm...odd. Mine isn't numbered like that with consecutive page numbers for the whole manual. Section J is titled Frame Unit and pages 1 and 2 have Figure 1 which has all the dimensions. Pages 3 through 7 of that section contain the description and additional information on checking the frame with figures 3 through 5.

Mine is the Brooklands version (same ISBN number as on Amazon's site and Brooklands information on the last 3 pages). Maybe you have a different version or a misprint that's missing those pages with illustration 1?

Unfortunately, the illustration covers 2 pages right in the middle of the manual and the measurements are in a really small font so I don't think that I could easily scan it.

Hey Randall,

Where did you get a full page scan like that from?

Beats me!

For many years now, I've been scrounging and copying all the Triumph-related information I come across. Lots of fine folk have also sent me copies of this and that. Unfortunately, I've not been careful to record what came from where (although I'm trying to do better now, honest!)

Anyway, it was apparently originally scanned from a document published by the Tru-Way company in Lansing, Michigan; who I suspect were selling frame straightening equipment. The preface claims they got the numbers by averaging "hundreds of assembled automobiles".

I've also got scans from the Bentley reprint if anyone wants those instead (originally scanned by Dan Buettner as I recall). But as noted, it's two separate pages.
