TR2/3/3A TR3 floor pan to firewall question

Well, the fun on the TR3 continues in 93deg heat here in PA. I have a new floor pan from TRF and am in the process of fitting it before I completely tear out the sill. The old floor pan was completely rotted so I don't have a good reference on how the floor pan fits to the corner of the firewall and transmission opening. Does the pan flange go inside the firewall sheetmetal corner (as shown in picture) or does it go on the outside?

Thanks again for any guidance!

Just went out to the shop to look . My car is a 1960 TR3A commission #61324. Your photo has the floor pan attached correctly. The replacement pan is slightly different from original. Frank

The year makes a difference on that lip. What year are you working on?

Edit...disregard. I was thinking firewall instead of merely the corner
