TR2/3/3A TR3 Extra Wide WhiteWalls

Am looking for extra wide White Wall Tires for 58 Triumph TR3. Have found 165 R15 from Coker and WhiteWall Candy Store but width of white wall is 2.25" not full tire that I have seen on some TR3's. Anyone know where I can find these tires?

The wide-white walls, while popular in the late 50s in America (but were not popular anywhere else,) are only available as bias ply tires, which significantly reduces the ride quality, stopping ability and cornering prowess of your car.

I would suggest just going for radials -- they were available on TR3s new, and are still the best today.

If you're looking for the "correct" size whitewall, 2.25" is about right. I measured an original Dunlop Gold Seal whitewall (original equipment, on an original TR3 wheel): from outer edge of whitewall to the rim edge is 2.125" -- there's probably that last 1/8" under the rim.
