TR2/3/3A TR3 door sills

My TR3 had the floors and sills replaced, before the PO abandonded project and sold.
The front of the sill ,directly below the hinge ,is not completey welded to the door post, more tacked, with no weld to the side, around the corner of the door post, with on side having about an 1/8 "gap between sill and post.
Are the front of sills supposed to be welded solid, and around the corner?
Also the front of the sill is open ,with no end cap or plate to close off.Does this sound right?
Any pics or info appreciated.
Thanks
Tom

I think this is what you are looking for. there is a small gap where the sill meets the post. and it has no cap either. if you need a different angle let me know, i just took the doors and fenders off today.

Thanks ,that is exactly what I was looking for.
It appears yours is welded part way around the corner, with same gap and open front as mine.I may weld all the around anyway.
Thanks
Tom
