TR2/3/3A TR3 door hinge repair ???

Has anybody ever tried to repin, or bush the TR3 door hinge? $100.00 for two hinges per door seems a bit steep, and who's to say the aftermarket part would be any better than the original worn hinge.

I drove out the original pin from the hinge without any problem. I was thinking of making a larger pin and honing out the two holes, or rebushing the original holes, and using the original pin.

I know the time spent may not be worth the effort, but it could save some money. Any ideas?

If you have the tools, Give it a shot and take lots of pics

I bought a couple of used spares (brass hinges)that had a slight bend (barely). So I put them in the press for a little squeeze and flattened the bend and it also tightened up the hinge. The pins were already tight.
