My 1956 Tr3 came to me with a Lucas 25D dizzy in place that works just fine but I note the specs are slightly diff when it comes to vacuum/mechanical advance.
How many are running the DM2 dizzy and would there be advantages to going to a DM2 (other than originality)?

I've run both and interchanged all parts including the weights and vacuum units.

Think I now use a DM2 shell for originality with 10deg weights, light springs and a TR4A 2-6-3 vacuum unit to get the performance I want.

If yours works fine, no need to change it.

Peter,
Yup, runs well.
Tell me about the TR4 263 advance unit, how does it differ from the stock 25D in advance operation.
Does the dizzy mod tie in with other engine mods or are you basically stock?
