TR2/3/3A TR3 Ball Joint Replacement

I finished installing new silentbloc bushings and tie-rod ends to my 62 TR3B,(by the way TRF had the correct size silentbloc bushings, all the ones at Victoria British were of the incorrect size). While having the front end aligned, noticed a slight amount of play in the ball joints. So I'm wanting to replace them. Is there any hidden problems that I might encounter? (besides the top stuck into the steering knuckle).

Thanks,

Don

Don, the controm arms need to be looked at closely as they like to crack where the spacer seats. While your checking, re-torqe the spindle its often over looked and will fail if its loose.
I am pretty impressed that this is the only play you have left in a tr3, there are so many places to be loose, somebody should write a book on them all!!!

What is the fix for the control arms if they do happen to be cracked? I'm sure someone has thought of a method to beef them up also.....

Thanks,

Don
