TR5/TR250 TR250 Ignition Key Question

I seem to have misplaced my keys for the TR250 (not that I've ever started the darn thing yet).

Short of getting all the locks (doors, boot, ignition) rekeyed, how do I fix this? Can I buy key blanks and then take the boot handle/lock to the locksmith and they can make a key? Any ideas?

Thanks. This is one of those big wastes of time and money that should be preventable.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Pat

Some build certificates from BMIHT show all the key codes for the car (mine do but they are a TR3 & a 4). If you can get the key codes from a cert or by inspection of the works then you can order keys from Pete Groh.

The factory put a spare key in the rear taillamp housing right rear I believe, there was one in mine when I took the car apart, worth a check, not sure if it is an ignition key or door key. Or try Peter Groh at British Car Key, he may be able to help you: https://britishcarkeys.com/
