Replying to another thread made me think to throw this idea out there.
I'm contemplating converting my currently LHD (left hand drive) 54 TR2 to RHD (right hand drive).
My question is, What parts do I need to find that are different?
I know I need a dash panal, and the accelerator pedal assembly, I assume I need to get a wiring loom for a RHD car (I have to buy a new one anyway) I know the pedal box just bolts in on the other side (with rerouted piping of course).
I guess my big question is can the steering gear assembly be bolted in on the right side,(were they the same piece for RHD and LHD cars) or do I need a RHD steering gear so it will bolt in right.
This is a manual linkage type, not rack and pinion (I know racks can't be mounted upside down)
This is just an idea. and yes I have driven RHD cars many times before on US roads.
