I am sick with jelousy. gotta have one!

I like this statement..."Horsepower was still skyrocketing when he let off, and<span style="font-weight: bold"> it looks as if the hp and torque would have crossed right at about 5,200 rpm.</span>"

Well, to be more precise, 5252 rpms...according to the horsepower formula...

(Torque x Engine speed) / 5,252 = Horsepower

Looks like a fun item. I have a Moss (Eaton) supercharger on my Miata. The kit was well thought out and complete. The only problem was some ambiguous instructions, but phone tech help at Moss was very good.

Sold by Moss, but developed by JK Jackson Racing, I believe. Friend of mine has an early version of the same kit, bought from Moss but their tech support wasn't up to speed yet when we installed it; so he eventually got referred directly to Jackson Racing. With the new idler pulleys they sent, the installation has worked well for over 100,000 miles (although the motor is starting to show it's age). One oddity though, the required belt is only available through Moss/Jackson. Although it is a Gates belt, FLAPS can't even order it. Better carry a spare.
