TR4/4A TR2-3B Hub Extension

Decided to put a "yellow" fan on my car and got a shorter hub extension from a member here. But just curious, those that did the shorter TR2-3B extension, what did you use for the main hub bolt? Mine is an early TR4 and I measured my bolt at 7" tip to tip. If I put this extension on the bolt is too long and can't fully seat as it won't screw far enough into the crank. Did most source a shorter TR2-3B bolt or put a regular bolt in the crank? The member that I bought it from is going to check if he has a bolt, but figured I'd ask here in the meantime. Thanks!

I used a TR3 bolt. It's 3/4" shorter I think, you may be able to shorten the one you have if you can't find one quickly.

Yeah...JUST found a post thru another search with different keywords. The bolt is shorter. Unfortunately you can't shorten the stock TR4 bolt as it will take all the threads away as it's only threaded an inch or so from the tip. I'll wait to see if he has a TR3 bolt. Just wanted to get a jump start in case he doesn't. Thanks

I have one if your local source isn't able to find it. Measures 6 1/4 inches, as was said, 3/4 inches shorter than your 7" one.

Great...thanks! My guy isn't local, he is in FL. But I will definitely take you up on it. Sending PM
